BUILDING ON LEGACY
CogX Festival was launched in 2017, focussing on “The Impact of AI on Industry, Government and Society”, and welcomed 1,300 guests to hear from 200 speakers over two days. In 2018 the festival doubled in audience size, moving to the Tobacco Dock and expanding to include stages for Ethics, Emerging Technologies and Blockchain with 400 Speakers and 6500 guests.
In 2019 the CogX Festival of AI, Blockchain, Emerging Tech and Global Goals expanded to a new home, taking over London’s Kings Cross and welcoming 687 Speakers from 36 countries and 22,000 visitors.
The 4th edition in 2020 broadened its scope, exploring our time's most significant transformational opportunities and the challenges we must overcome. With over 1,000 speakers, we covered a vast range of topics, including Health, the Cloud, Climate, Blockchain, Ethics, Quantum, AR, VR, Genetics, SpaceTech - and of course AI where we started.
We also added our CogX Global Leadership Summit, which gathers our speakers and leaders to address the critical question, “How do we get the next ten years right?”. And when the world went into lockdown, we pivoted in 3 months to deliver this as a 100% virtual experience with 44,000 registered attendees.
In 2021 we delivered one of the world’s first hybrid events; However, only a tiny element was in-person. Still, with an innovative approach to catch-up viewing, we grew to over 840,000 unique viewers - making the event even more inclusive and dramatically increasing the impact for our partners and speakers.
Our 2022 Festival brought our communities together again in person across three sites in London’s Kings Cross with over 20 Topics Tracks and our Leaders Summit at the beautiful Thomas Heatherwick-designed Samsung KX building.
